Students of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti took to twitter to cry out their hearts today after a new statement released by the authorities
banned the use of smartphones, including tabs and Ipads.This is the statement from the School.

INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR FRESH AND RETURNING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION
The
primary objective of the University is to nurture students who will be
able to impact positively not only on their immediate environment but
also on the larger society.
Therefore an essential element of the
actualization of the University’s objectives is the identification and
admission of students who owing to their ascertainable academic
competence and demonstrated innate personal qualities are best suited to
imbibe and put into practice the principles of hard work and excellence
for which the Founder is renowned and upon which the University has
come into existence.
ABUAD is committed to offering equal

race, political affiliation or financial status. Indeed the University’s
Endowment Fund in addition to the provision of scholarships to
deserving students already ensures that the cost of the qualitative
education available at the University is highly subsidized.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Mobile Phone; the University would allow students to use telephone but limited to non-smartphones. Any
TELEPHONE aside the University’s specification, inclusive of TABLETS or
IPADS shall be CONFISCATED and the Student shall be SANCTIONED.
Identity Card must be obtained before permission into the Hall of Residence and must be worn always
Students must duly comply with the ABUAD Residency Agreement before room allocation into the Halls of Residence
All parents/ guardians must duly complete the Indemnity Form before the
allocation of rooms into the Halls of Residence for their ward is made
and return to the Registry upon completion.
Thank you as you comply and defaulters shall be duly sanctioned.
