Nigerians on Friday paid tribute to Dr. Stella Adadevoh who died two
years ago after courageously treating the first Ebola case in Nigeria.
Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian who many believed was aware he had
contracted the disease ‘sneaked’ into Nigeria and was quarantined under
the care of Dr. Adadevoh.
Sawyer had insisted he wanted to leave the hospital but was stopped by Dr. Adadevoh.
Her heroic deed and decision has been regarded by many as what saved
the country from experiencing a wide outbreak of the deadly virus.
