Nigerians bombard Toyin Aimakhu's instagram page, demanding explanations for the #SaveMayowa scam report

So earlier today, Linda Ikeji reported a sad story!
According to her, the Save Mayowa campaign which was spearheaded by actress Toyin Aimakhu was a scam.

"You see, Mayowa is really sick. She truly has Ovarian cancer. She's admitted at LUTH but she didn't need money for surgery, because doctors had told Mayowa she was beyond treatment and no hospital in the world could treat her as she was extremely far gone. Mayowa had reached stage 4 and doctors, unfortunately, already told her family she won't survive it and had advised them to take her home. Her family instead used her situation to raise money from Nigerians. The doctors in LUTH have also denied giving her family a medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad.
Toyin Aimakhu, who was one of those who spearheaded the fundraising, as you read this, is at LUTH right now with police officers. Some people also went to the family's home and the place is locked up. Will share video from the scene  at LUTH, involving Toyin and one other donor later...
#SaveMayowa raised over $100k on GoFundMe and millions of Naira.
" Linda reported.

Now, Nigerians have bombarded Toyin Aimaku's page, seeking explanations!

  1. Obviously toyin may not even know what the family members were up to, so why are they bombarding her. But i am shocked, the heart of man is wicked. Why use the life of your daughter to raise money and scam innocent nigerians, now people wil start reigning curses on the family

    1. My question is why have the doctors been silent until now that the money is complete. Something is odd here.

    2. Myth doctors were on strike...

  2. Ko le to yen (it's not hard na) let dem return our money Oya everybody bring out ur teller so dey can refund ppl dt paid

    1. Those of us who gave out of sympathy have done our best as humans, and we've imitated God's quality of love... Weather it's a scam or not she's sick and one way or the other, money will be needed either for treatment or for burial.. May God bless and replenish the pockets of those who helped.... Amen...

    2. You have given the best reply.

  3. Jesus! If this is true that was very wicked of her family! How can u use a dying girl to make money! It is well. ..I won't stop helping scam or nt but some Nigerians should just fear God...

  4. If she's truly in stage IV there's nothing any Doctor could do actually... Just palliative treatments, make her as comfortable as possible until the very end..

  5. Anyhow sha but me i feel that Linda shouldnt have posted the story, she would have let the girl die first. she is already sick, don't make it worse, the little time she has you want make it so painful for her. You don't knock folks down when they are already down... Simple basic human morals!

  6. Why am I not surprised?
Nigeria is such a country where anything goes. Such an expensive national prank, helped by the fact that though vastly educated, we're more emotional than objective.
I'm not gonna be one of those who would say "Thankgod I didnt fall for it", yes I didn't fall for it, buh what happened to the regulatory agencies (NBC, BON, Min of Health) who were supposed to verify such conditions before it goes on air?
This is the same way religious organizations play on our over religiosity to prank us off our monies in ways more hypnotic than real.

  7. Luth needs to release a statement as well .
