British author George Eliot once said ‘Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them.’
Well it seems the late OJB has surprisingly been forgotten rather quickly.
YNaija reports it thus:
Upon the news of the singer’s death, people, especially his
colleagues in the entertainment industry flooded their social media
timelines with various emotional tributes in respect of the searching
crooner’s demise.
Things however looked the opposite at his burial which held today as
only a handful of stakeholders in the industry were present.
Noticeably absent were artistes who OJB contributed immensely to the up-shoot of their careers; artistes such as 2face, Yemi Alade, Wizkid (who was out of the country but represented by his manager, Sunday Are), and more.
The same picture had also played out at his service of songs
which took place on Thursday at the National Stadium, Surulere – the
event looked like a small gathering of only the industry’s veterans.
