Some Nigerians are angry with the Ooni of Ife for declaring that Jesus is his father

Some twitter users are criticizing the Ooni of Ife for saying that Jesus is his father. During the Father's day celebration, the Ooni of Ife at a Church Service sang a special number "I have a father and he will never ever fail me...Jesus is my father, he will never fail me, rock of ages, never ever fails..." he further asked the congregants to join him in singing. Well, some Nigerians are of the opinion that he is the custodian of the Yoruba culture and tradition, which includes the deities as such he cannot be a Christian also.

  5. Dear Ooni of Ife, you cannot serve God and mamoth together, it is either you are serving God or serving satan. Jesus is not the father of an idol worshipper

  6. Him saying Jesus is his king doesn't automatically compromise his faith in oduduwa. Frankly speaking keeping the orientation that you won't associate with any religion other than urs or that you won't associate with people who don't practice the same religion as urs is so stupid of you and will just keep you in one position. As for me forcefully dragging me to practice your religion without giving me enough reason is the only time I can disassociate myself from you.
    #dont be a religion bigot
#we all have only one supreme GOD
#yes Jesus is lord and my father. (don't know about you)
    #proudly sociologist

  7. if he says so, who am I to say otherwise. Thy shall not judge!
