Yesterday, the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF) threatened to blow up Aso rock and some prominent buildings in the nation some of which include; the police headquarters, defence headquarters, NNPC towers, CBN headquarters, national assembly and military formations across the country (read it Here)
It was reported that the group threatened to test six missiles this week and according to them, they are also determined to lead to a breakup of the nation.
On that note, the Federal Government will start a dialogue with the militant group. This was said by the oil minister, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu.
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a team “to begin the process of a very intensive dialogue with those caught in the middle of this,” he said.
He also said the country’s oil output was between 1.5 million and 1.6 million barrels a day.
